Title: Bulleh Shah, Size: 60 x 48
Inspired by a woman braiding her hair to please her husband, Bulleh Shah did the same to seek the happiness of his Guru, Shah Inayat. The equal sign in the eye symbolizes his message of equality beyond caste, religion, and social divisions. The sarangi recalls the moment when Bulleh Shah, lost in music and devotion, danced with love and surrender, ultimately winning back his displeased Guru through his spiritual devotion.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Pankaj Sachdeva is a self-taught Indian visual artist whose artistic practice explores the timeless wisdom of Indian philosophy, spirituality, cultural heritage, and universal human values. Through a distinctive visual language characterised by symbolism, geometric structures, vibrant colours, and stylised forms, he reinterprets the philosophical and spiritual foundations of India’s cultural traditions for contemporary audiences.
His work draws inspiration from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shiva–Shakti philosophy, Sikh history and teachings, Sufism, Jainism, and Buddhist thought. Moving beyond literal representation, Sachdeva translates profound philosophical concepts into symbolic compositions that explore consciousness, time, harmony, balance, compassion, sacrifice, duty, and spiritual awakening.
