About Artist
Mallika Bulusu
Inspiration & Philosophy
My work is a rhythmic response to the world’s most evocative moments—from the majesty of a
landscape to the quiet grace of a good deed. I view these inspirations as meditative sparks, allowing me
to translate complex emotions into a visual language on canvas.
The Joy of Observation
I am particularly drawn to capturing the unadulterated joy found in nature and human connection.
Whether it is the playfulness of children or the warmth of a shared expression, my goal is to transform
these fleeting moments into enduring, captivating interpretations.
A Musical Lens
Drawing from an extensive background in Carnatic music, I approach the canvas much like a musical
composition. I recreate the immersive process of listening and performing—translating the soul-stirring
nuances of melody and rhythm into brushstrokes and color.
Art as Connection
I believe art is the purest form of emotional connection, effortlessly transcending barriers of language
and time. My work is a multidimensional expression that seeks to bridge the gap between an initial
spark of inspiration and the final, signed creation.
